Rapist locked up after being convicted of separate charges of rape and sexual assault.

Rapist Jailed for Eight Years After Attacking Woman in Crewe

Mustafa Musa, 23, of Lionel Grove, Hartshill, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for rape and sexual assault.

The court heard that Musa sexually assaulted a woman in her sleep and then raped her, despite her pleas for him to stop. The attack took place in Crewe, Cheshire.

Following the sentencing at Chester Crown Court, a Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "We commend the victim for her courage throughout this case. Musa lied throughout the investigation and trial, showing no remorse for the ordeal he inflicted on the victim. Thanks to her bravery and the evidence we gathered, the jury saw through his lies, and he is finally being held accountable for his actions."

Musa has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for life.

The police spokesperson added: "We hope this case encourages other victims of sexual offences to come forward and report them to us. We treat all reports seriously and investigate every allegation thoroughly, prioritizing the wishes and needs of the victim."
