Man Jailed for Sexual Offenses Against Children

Neil Schooley, 55, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for multiple sexual offenses against young girls. The incidents occurred between 2016 and 2018 when one of the victims was under ten and the other was between ten and thirteen years old.

Schooley was found guilty of three counts of taking indecent images of a child and two counts of sexual activity with a child. He had given wine to the girls, asked them to undress, and taken photographs of them. He also exposed himself to one of the girls on a separate occasion.

Sussex Police Detective Constable Joe Murray stated, "Neil Schooley betrayed the trust of his young victims and their families for his own sexual gratification. The seriousness of these offenses and the harm they have caused was recognized by this sentence, which was the maximum available for these crimes."

Murray also commended the bravery of the victims for reporting the incidents and supporting the investigation. Schooley was arrested and charged following the police investigation and was found guilty by a jury at Hove Crown Court. He was sentenced to the maximum sentence of eight years in prison and placed on the Sex Offenders' register.
