Beating and sexually assaulting a woman.

A 32-year-old man will face trial after denying a string of offenses including imprisoning, beating, and sexually assaulting a woman.

Nicholas Phillip Scott Harford, of Polmear Hill, Par, appeared at Truro Crown Court on Tuesday (November 27) for a plea hearing. He denied five charges against him.

The offenses relate to an alleged incident in St Austell on November 7.

The first charge alleges that Harford assaulted and unlawfully and injuriously imprisoned the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and detained her against her will.

Two further charges relate to assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The fourth charge alleges that Harford sexually assaulted the same woman.
