Southampton Man Sentenced for Sexual Abuse of Teenage Girl

A Southampton man has been sentenced to four years in prison for sexually abusing a teenage girl. Oliver Axton, 22, of Cunningham Crescent, engaged in sexual activity with the youth in the Southampton area over a period of more than a year.

Police were alerted to Axton's crimes in April 2023. He was subsequently charged with four counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15 and two counts of causing or inciting her to engage in sexual activity.

Axton pleaded guilty to all charges. In June 2023, he appeared before Southampton Crown Court and was sentenced to four years in prison.
