A 26-year-old man from Longfield, Oliver Fallace, has been sentenced for possessing and downloading child abuse images, including extreme pornographic images depicting animals.

Fallace was found to have downloaded hundreds of indecent images of children, ranging in severity from category A (the worst) to category C, as well as 46 prohibited images. These included an image of a toddler being raped.

Police discovered the images during a search of Fallace's home in January 2022, after his mother answered the door to officers. Fallace admitted to viewing some of the images and provided access to his devices, which contained both still and video images.

Analysis of the devices revealed that Fallace had downloaded images from August 2017 onwards and had a pattern of searching for them. The images depicted children aged between one and 13 years old.

Fallace pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children, one count of possessing extreme pornographic images, and one count of possession of prohibited images of children.

During sentencing, Judge Philip St John-Stevens acknowledged Fallace's remorse and progress in the past 18 months, but emphasized the seriousness of the offenses and the impact on the victims.

Fallace was sentenced to a two-year community order, including 30 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions. He was also placed on a seven-year sexual harm prevention order and must sign the sex offenders' register. He was ordered to pay £200 in costs.
