Registered Sex Offender Fails to Appear for Sentencing

Phillip Allen, from Ross-on-Wye, was due to be sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on June after being convicted at Hereford Magistrates Court on April 12 for attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child. However, he failed to appear in court.

A bench warrant has been issued for Allen's arrest, and it is not backed for bail. This means he will be taken into custody immediately upon being located.

Allen has known connections with Cumbria, and police believe he may have been in the Carlisle area within the last few days.
