Dance Studio Owner Charged with Sexual Offenses

Richard Still, director of Vibez Dance Ballroom and Latin School in Woodley, pleaded guilty to four sexual offenses against a child in Reading Crown Court on Monday, November 13.

The 38-year-old dance champion admitted to paying a 15-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to send him sexually explicit images. He made payments into her bank account in exchange for the images.

Still also pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual activity with a child. He was initially charged with four additional counts, including making and possessing indecent images of a child and engaging in sexual communications with a child, but the Crown Prosecution Service dropped those charges.

The sentencing hearing was originally scheduled for November 13 but was incorrectly listed as a trial preparation hearing. As a result, Still was re-arraigned, and his sentencing has been adjourned to December 19 at the same court.

He remains on bail with conditions that prohibit him from attending Vibez Dance Studio during opening hours, require him to reside at his home address in Louden Square, Earley, and prevent him from being with a child under 18 without adult supervision.
