Robert Humble
Age: 74
Town: Yorkshire
Convicted: 16/05/2022
Causing or inciting a male under 16 to engage in sexual activity, making indecent images of children and possessing illegal images.
Robert Humble, a 72-year-old man from Guisborough, has been sentenced to a fine for failing to comply with Sex Offender Register notifications.
Humble was originally sentenced to two years and six months in prison in 2019 for causing or inciting a male under 16 to engage in sexual activity, making indecent images of children, and possessing illegal images.
He was jailed again in 2021 after police discovered files named "naughty boys" on his laptop. This led to him being placed on the Sex Offender Register.
On January 18, 2023, police visited Humble's home to discuss unrelated alleged offenses. During the interview, they found a gold credit card and asked Humble if he had informed the authorities about it. He claimed he had, but it was later confirmed that he had not registered the card.
Humble admitted to the breach and stated that it was an oversight due to his Parkinson's disease.
The court heard that this was not the first time Humble had breached notification requirements. In 2021, two files named "naughty boys" and "naughty boys 2" were found in his computer's recycling bin.
Humble claimed that he deleted these files to avoid being a "sexual predator."
For failing to notify authorities about the credit card, Humble was fined £80. He was also ordered to pay £119 in costs and a victim surcharge.
