Sexually groomed a young girl and made her watch a homemade pornographic film of himself.

Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Sexually Grooming and Abusing Young Girl

A 45-year-old man, Robert Johnson, from Port Talbot, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually grooming and abusing a young girl. Johnson was convicted at Swansea Crown Court of multiple child sex offenses including sexual activity by penetration, causing or inciting a child to watch sexual activity, and inciting sexual activity with a child.

The court heard that Johnson had made the young girl watch a homemade pornographic film of himself and then sexually abused her. He told the victim not to tell anyone about the abuse.

In a statement read to the court, the victim described the devastating emotional and psychological impact of the abuse. Police commended her bravery in coming forward.

Johnson denied the allegations but was found guilty by a jury. In addition to his prison sentence, he was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order and will be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.
