Sex Offender Jailed for Eight Years After Abusing Two Children

Robin Noble, 65, of Halstead near Sevenoaks, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for sexually abusing two children over an eight-year period.

Noble committed offenses against one victim between 2008 and 2012 and against a second victim between 2005 and 2013.

The abuse was reported to Kent Police in December 2018, leading to Noble's arrest. He was charged with multiple sexual offenses involving children and six counts of making indecent images of children.

While Noble pleaded guilty to the indecent image charges, he denied the other offenses. After a 10-day trial at Maidstone Crown Court, he was found guilty of 16 sexual offenses involving children on April 1, 2023.

At Southwark Crown Court on May 16, Noble was sentenced to eight years in prison. He was also added to the sex offenders register indefinitely and subjected to a sexual harm prevention order.

Investigator Becki Pike of the West Kent Child Protection Team stated, "Noble subjected his two vulnerable young victims to dreadful crimes for his own gratification and, by pleading not guilty, forced them to revisit their ordeal."

"The victims displayed tremendous courage in speaking up and then assisting us to bring this appalling man to justice," Pike continued.

She urged anyone who has been a victim of a sexual offense to report it to the police, assuring them that "We have a team of specialist officers who work to ensure that offenders like Noble do not evade justice, just because a crime may have happened a long time ago."

"We will always treat any information with the upmost confidence and sensitivity," Pike concluded.
