Man Ordered to Sign Sex Offenders Register for Indecent Images of Child

A 30-year-old man has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register after pleading guilty to making indecent images of a child.

Ryan Tinkler, of Valley View, Little Clifton, Workington, admitted to making 12 Category C indecent images of a child between June 2022 and February 2023.

Appearing before Workington Magistrates Court on Tuesday, Tinkler was sentenced to a 30-day sexual offender programme and 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Magistrates also imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order with the following conditions:

• Making any device with internet access available to police upon request.
• Not using any online service that conceals, falsifies, or disguises the IP address.
• Not deleting any internet browsing history records.

Tinkler is required to register with the police as a sex offender for the next five years.
