Sean Hartley Pleads Guilty to Multiple Offences

Sean Hartley, originally from Forres, admitted to a series of serious offences against several women in the Highlands and Moray between 2004 and 2019.

Hartley was scheduled to stand trial at the High Court in Inverness today on 26 charges. However, his defence counsel, Brian McConnachie, informed Lord Mulholland that his client intended to plead guilty to some of the offences.

Hartley pleaded guilty to seven charges, including:

• Three rapes
• Three serious assaults
• One charge of a course of domestic abuse

Lord Mulholland is now scheduled to sentence Hartley tomorrow.
