Birchwood Man Jailed for Sexual Assault

Sean Steven Taylor, 23, of Birchwood, has been sentenced to 28 months in prison for sexually assaulting a 51-year-old woman on July 19th.

Cheshire Police reported that Taylor approached the victim from behind, assaulted her, and then fled the scene. CCTV footage captured the incident, leading to Taylor's identification and arrest.

Taylor pleaded guilty to the charge of sexual assault at Chester Crown Court on Friday.

In addition to his prison sentence, Taylor was ordered to register as a sex offender.

DC Richard Kirby stated, "Sexual offences are horrific crimes that cause immense distress to victims and their families. The use of CCTV was crucial in quickly identifying the perpetrator and ensuring justice was served."
