Lincoln Man Jailed for 21 Years for Sexual Offences

Shaun Otter, 52, of Shakespeare Street, Lincoln, was sentenced to 21 years in prison at Lincoln Crown Court on July 18th for multiple sexual offenses, including rape.

Otter was found guilty of 11 offenses that took place on June 8th. In addition to his prison sentence, he was also placed under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, requiring him to comply with sex offender notification requirements for life.

Detective Inspector Lee Nixon of Lincolnshire Police's Protecting Vulnerable Persons Unit stated, "We commend the victim for her courage in coming forward. We understand the immense difficulty involved in reporting such crimes, and we are committed to treating victims with sensitivity and respect. Our aim is to ensure that perpetrators like Otter face justice."
