Sex offender on the loose after failing to follow notification rules: Shaun Wilkinson wanted by police

A wanted sex offender is on the run after failing to comply with his notification requirements. Shaun Wilkinson, from Burnley, is wanted on recall to prison. Lancashire Constabulary states that the 32-year-old is believed to be in the Burnley area and has been seen in the town centre.

Wilkinson is described as being 6ft tall, of slim build, and with short brown hair. Anyone with information or sightings is urged to contact the police.

In an appeal on social media this morning (May 24), Burnley and Padiham Police stated: "Have you seen Shaun Wilkinson? Wilkinson, 32, from Burnley, is wanted on prison recall and for failing to adhere to sex offender notification requirements.

"He is 6ft, slim, with short brown hair. Wilkinson is believed to be in the Burnley area and has been in the town centre.

"Any sightings of him or information as to where he might be, please email or contact 101."
