Southampton Man Sentenced to 16 Years for Sexual Offences Against Children

A Southampton man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for sexual offences against three young victims in the city.

Simon Parker, 36, of Parry Road, appeared at Southampton Crown Court on Friday (16 February) after a jury found him guilty of seven offences.

The charges included two counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, two counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of assault of a child, and one count of sexual communications with a child.

The court heard how Parker committed the offences against three girls who were aged between 11 and 14. The girls reported the abuse to police, leading to Parker's arrest and subsequent charges. He denied the offences, but was found guilty by a jury on Monday 12 February.

In addition to the prison sentence, Parker has been ordered to register as a sex offender and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the rest of his life.
