Admitted secretly filming a female friend in her flat and uploading naked pictures of her to the internet.

Sick Stanley Gibbs, 35, was jailed for 12 months after secretly filming his female friend in her Glasgow flat and uploading naked photos of her online.

Gibbs, from Erskine, admitted using electronic devices to record the woman in a state of undress without her knowledge between October 2012 and June 2014. He also uploaded indecent footage of her to the internet using the username "Psycho Stan."

Sheriff Andrew Mackie told Gibbs: "Your behaviour, as you know, was deplorable and appalling. It was a gross breach of trust and a gross invasion of your victim."

The court heard Gibbs and the woman had been friends for years, and he regularly visited her flat. In June 2014, a friend of the woman discovered pictures of her online, including naked photos of her getting out of the shower.

The friend, knowing the woman was uncomfortable with having her picture taken, contacted the police. A search warrant was granted for Gibbs' house, where officers seized electronic equipment including a laptop, hard drive, mobile phone, tablet, and a digital camera.

Analysis of the devices revealed 60,000 moving images, many of which were taken covertly. The victim was shocked and disgusted, as she trusted Gibbs like family.

Gibbs' defense lawyer, Neil McCulloch, said his client showed genuine remorse for his victim and accepted his crimes were unacceptable and inexcusable.
