Cornish Sex Pest Offends Again, This Time in London

Stephen Jory, a 42-year-old man with no fixed address, has brought his pattern of public indecency to London after previously committing similar offenses in Cornwall.

Jory appeared at Wood Green Crown Court where he admitted to a string of offenses, including grabbing a woman's breast and making lewd comments to another on May 12, 2022. He also pleaded guilty to breaching his notification requirements as a sex offender and violating a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) imposed in 2013.

Jory's case was transferred from Truro Crown Court in Cornwall to London after he committed offenses against a woman upon his release from HMP Pentonville in Islington.

In court, Jory attributed his actions to alcohol consumption and requested increased support from the probation service.

Jory's history of sexual offenses dates back to 2013 when he was initially ordered not to expose himself in public. However, he violated this order by flashing a female doctor in a Cornish surgery, resulting in an 18-month prison sentence.

Further offenses in 2017 and 2020 saw him exposed and making indecent comments to women, with Judge Ian Lawrie acknowledging Jory's "compulsion" to expose himself.

Jory is currently serving time in Exeter prison and will appear at Wood Green Crown Court for sentencing on November 9th.
