Paedophile and registered sex offender jailed after attempting to meet a child for sexual activity.

Stephen Morgan Sentenced for Child Sex Offences

Stephen Morgan, of North Cliff Road, Doncaster, was convicted of engaging in sexual communication with a child and attempting to arrange or facilitate sexual activity with a child.

The 38-year-old was caught during a police operation in February 2024, where he believed he was communicating with a 12-year-old online. During their conversation, Morgan requested photos and made explicit sexual comments.

Morgan further attempted to arrange a meeting with the child, offering to pick them up from school and suggesting a swimming trip together.

He was arrested on February 29, 2024, as he arrived at his home in his vehicle.

Morgan, a registered sex offender, was found guilty at Sheffield Crown Court on March 25, 2024. On April 5, 2024, he was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment and given a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
