Man Jailed for 13 Years for Sexual Abuse

A man who subjected a girl to repeated sexual abuse over the course of a year has been jailed.

Steve Adams, 67, from Marine Parade, Sheerness, started abusing the girl in January 2019. The abuse continued until the victim was able to disclose the offenses.

Adams was arrested and charged with sexual assaults. He denied the allegations, but a jury at Maidstone Crown Court found him guilty.

On Thursday, August 29, 2024, Adams was sentenced at the same court to a total of 13 years in prison.
