Paedophile convicted of abusing young boys.

Former Choir Master Convicted of Sex Offenses

A former choir master has been found guilty of serious sexual offenses against children.

Thomas Rodgers, 44, from Billericay, was convicted by a jury following a trial on December 5, 2023. The crimes took place in the 1990s, when the victims were all children.

Rodgers was convicted of the following charges:

• Indecent assault on a male aged eight to 11 years
• Indecency with a child aged eight to 11 years
• Indecency with a child aged five to seven years

Met Police commended the victims for their bravery in coming forward.

Rodgers is scheduled for sentencing on January 10, 2024.
