Two men who filmed a video of themselves having sex with a teenage girl that was subsequently put on the internet.

Two men jailed for filming and distributing sex video of teenage girl.

William Wright, 24, and Connor Hayes, 24, were sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court for their actions. The court heard that Hayes befriended the victim in 2014 and, despite her being over the age of consent, she was under 18, making it illegal to produce and distribute indecent images of her. In November 2014, Hayes convinced the victim to participate in a sex video with his friend Wright, assuring her it was for their eyes only.

However, the video was uploaded online around November 2015. The victim, upon learning this, pleaded with the pair to delete the video. When the video surfaced online, both men were arrested in December 2015.

During the investigation, numerous videos and images of the victim were found on Wright's iPhone and Hayes' laptop. Both men admitted to their crimes and were sentenced to two years in prison. Additionally, they were both issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.

Detective Constable Mandy Brimicombe emphasized the exploitation of the victim's vulnerability and the severity of the crime, highlighting the illegal nature of publishing videos of a minor, even if they are over the age of consent.

The sentencing serves as a reminder for victims of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) to report such offenses to the authorities.
