Abiola Raji Sentenced to 10 Years for Rape in Stafford

Abiola Raji, a 32-year-old man from Stafford, was sentenced to 10 years in prison at Stafford Crown Court after pleading guilty to raping a woman. The attack occurred on Sunday, April 21st, 2023, around 8 p.m. near the Vine Hotel on Salters Street.

The victim reported the assault later that night, prompting an immediate investigation by police. Officers reviewed CCTV footage and conducted inquiries to locate Raji, leading to his arrest on May 1st, 2023.

Throughout the investigation, officers diligently gathered evidence to support the case against Raji, ultimately leading to his guilty plea in court. In addition to his prison sentence, Raji was ordered to serve an extended license period of three years and four months and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
