Paisley Man Faces Jail for Child Sex Abuse Images

Adam Jalowy, 22, of Paisley, Scotland, has been found guilty of possessing 172 indecent images and videos of children, some as young as three years old.

Jalowy was arrested in November 2021 after police received information that a device at his home address had been used to upload indecent images of children. A search warrant was executed and Jalowy was found to have a collection of images and videos on two iPhones and a laptop.

The court heard that Jalowy admitted to being in possession of the images and videos between March 17, 2021 and November 1, 2021. He was also charged with possessing "extreme pornographic images" depicting bestiality, but this charge was dropped by the Crown.

Sheriff Eoin McGinty described the offences as "serious" and said that society is "always revolted by these offences." He deferred sentencing until April 28 to allow for the preparation of reports, including a criminal justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment.

Jalowy was placed on the sex offenders' register, with the length of time to be decided at the next hearing. He was warned that if the reports are not completed by the next hearing, he could be remanded in custody.
