Paedophile Adrian John Thomas Jailed for Court Order Breach

Paedophile Jailed for Court Order Breach

Adrian John Thomas, 31, was sentenced to three years in prison for breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) designed to protect children. Thomas, who has no fixed address, was issued the SHPO and notification order in 2017 following a serious child sexual offence.

The court heard that Thomas had breached the order a total of 15 times, including the most recent offences. Despite being released from prison in October 2023 and moving to an approved address in Swansea, he later moved in with his mother in Pembrokeshire and registered with police as having no fixed abode, violating the notification requirement.

Thomas further breached his order by taking over his mother's iPhone against her wishes, adding security features, and creating social media accounts. These actions caused distress to his mother. Thomas admitted four breaches of the SHPO and one offence of failing to comply with the notification requirement.

Sentencing Thomas at Swansea Crown Court on December 19, Judge His Honour Paul Thomas stated that Thomas seemed "completely determined" to breach the order. The judge highlighted Thomas's history of similar offences and his disregard for court orders.
