Actor Alexander Westwood Found Guilty of Raping Teenagers in Acting Class
Alexander Westwood, a 24-year-old actor known for his roles in BBC's "Doctors" and Netflix's "Sex Education," has been found guilty of 26 sex offences against women and children.
Westwood was convicted following a four-week trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court. The charges include rape, sexual assault, and engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with his acting students.
Prosecutors detailed how Westwood exploited his position of power by forcing pupils to recite Shakespeare naked and participate in nude role-play scenarios. He sexually assaulted one girl over a seven-year period and filmed another teenage actress naked on his iPad.
Jurors were told that Westwood had been a sexual predator from childhood, with his criminal activity dating back to when he was just ten years old. Throughout the trial, disturbing images surfaced from Westwood's public Instagram account, showcasing a stark contrast between his seemingly normal life and his predatory actions.
The courtroom heard harrowing testimonies from Westwood's victims, who described how he held them down, forced them to bite him, and harassed them even after they complained. Westwood denied the charges and blamed his victims, forcing them to relive their trauma in court.
Sentencing is scheduled for February 25th, 2024.
