Child Sex Offender Jailed for Eight Years

Andrew Lucas, 56, of Shareshill, south Staffordshire, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for child sexual abuse.

Lucas was found guilty of ten non-recent child sexual offenses at Stafford Crown Court following a trial.

The abuse occurred a number of years ago, and the survivor bravely came forward to report the crimes.

Despite initially denying the allegations, Lucas was arrested and questioned by police.

Specialist officers provided support to the survivor throughout the investigation, while evidence was gathered to secure charges against Lucas.

The sentencing took place at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, June 14th, 2023.
