Sex offender jailed after breaching ban.

Wellingborough Sex Offender Jailed for Contacting Girls

Bradley Coulson, 21, was sentenced to one year and six months in prison after breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) by speaking to a group of girls aged between 11 and 13 at the Swansgate Shopping Centre in Wellingborough.

Coulson was initially given the SHPO on July 7, 2020, following a civil case brought by Northamptonshire Police due to concerns about his behaviour. The order prohibited him from having any contact with anyone under the age of 16.

On November 7, 2021, Coulson was spotted engaging in conversation with the group of girls at the shopping centre. He subsequently pleaded guilty to three counts of breaching his SHPO.

PC Andy Glover, of Northamptonshire Police's MOSOVO team, stated: "We take the management of sex offenders extremely seriously in this force – they are very closely monitored and any breaches are dealt with swiftly. If a breach is identified, there are no second chances, and offenders will be sent to prison, as in the case of Bradley Coulson."

Glover further emphasized the force's commitment to keeping the public safe and bringing sex offenders to justice. He encouraged anyone with concerns about someone's behaviour to report it to the police by calling 101.
