Cheshire Paedophile Jailed for Sharing Sickening Images

Brandon Maloney, 23, of Runcorn, was sentenced to 28 months in prison for possessing, making, and distributing indecent images of children.

Maloney pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to the charges, which included possessing an "extreme pornographic" clip of a woman and a dog. The offences spanned from November 2017 until his arrest in January 2022.

Police found 55 child abuse images on his two phones, with victims ranging from three years old and up. Over half of the images were classified as Category A, the most severe category, and included 13 videos. Maloney also engaged in online chats with another paedophile and shared abuse images during those exchanges.

In one message, Maloney said "he couldn't be trusted if he had a child that was a boy." The court heard details of the horrific imagery, including young boys being raped by adults.

Judge Simon Berkson described the images as "revolting" and highlighted the vulnerability of the victims and the moving images as aggravating factors in the sentencing. He also emphasized the seriousness of distributing the images, stating that it "means more and more of those images enter circulation so more people can see those images and the abuse continues and continues."

Maloney was also placed on the sex offenders register and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
