Man Jailed for Grooming and Sexually Assaulting Child in North Staffordshire

Callum Dobing, 26, from Stone, has been sentenced to ten years in prison for grooming and sexually assaulting a child.

Dobing, who groomed the victim through social media, arranged to meet with her in April of this year. He then sexually assaulted the victim, who later reported the incident to authorities.

Dobing was arrested shortly after the reported incident and questioned in custody. He subsequently admitted to the offenses in court.

On Wednesday, August 23rd, Dobing was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court. In addition to the ten-year sentence, he was also given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.

Dobing pleaded guilty to failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements, meeting a girl under 16 following grooming, and three counts of sexual activity with a child.
