Cameron Thomson, of Cameron Drive, Keith, admitted possessing 401 indecent images of children, including 54 of the most serious category, at Inverness Sheriff Court.

The images, which involved girls aged between 10 and 15, were found on Thomson's mobile phone.

Thomson, who denied to officers that he was sexually attracted to children, pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing indecent images of children.

The case was adjourned for sentencing.
