Man Jailed for Sexually Abusing Teenager in Bradford

A 40-year-old man, Carl Harrison, has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for sexually abusing a teenager in Bradford.

Harrison, of Pickles Street, Keighley, pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault at Bradford Crown Court. He was also given a restraining order and must register as a sex offender indefinitely.

Following the sentencing, Detective Sergeant Matthew Harrison of the Bradford Safeguarding Unit expressed satisfaction with the outcome.

"We welcome the sentence handed down to Harrison today," said Detective Sergeant Harrison. "I would like to praise the bravery of the victim in coming forward and reporting these crimes. I hope today serves as some justice."

The Bradford Safeguarding Team encourages anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to come forward and report it. "Your case will be treated with sensitivity, and we will do all we can to bring offenders to justice," stated Detective Sergeant Harrison.
