Chesham Rapist Jailed for Five Years

A 23-year-old labourer, Christopher Hines-Randall, has been sentenced to five years in prison for raping a woman at her Chesham home in 2008.

Hines-Randall was found guilty of rape and actual bodily harm by a jury at Aylesbury Crown Court on August 23rd. The judge, His Honour Judge Moss, described Hines-Randall as having "a worrying history of violence" and highlighted the aggravating factor of a child sleeping in a nearby room during the assault.

The court heard that while Hines-Randall had no previous convictions, he had been previously cautioned by the police. He was sentenced to five years for rape and an additional nine months for actual bodily harm, to be served concurrently.

The incident occurred in November 2008, with the victim residing at the same Chesham address as Hines-Randall, who was sleeping in a room next door.
