Mytchett Paedophile Jailed Again for Viewing Indecent Images

A convicted paedophile from Mytchett, Christopher Manley, has been jailed again for viewing indecent images of children while on licence for similar offences. The 50-year-old, of Coleford Bridge Road, used a monitored laptop and a hidden tablet to access the images and message girls online.

Manley, despite being under surveillance, googled terms like "chubby teens." When police visited his home on June 1, 2018, he claimed, "I was looking at porn but not children. I wasn't searching for that. I was looking for teen stuff but nothing younger than that."

In June, at Guildford Crown Court, Manley was sentenced to three years in prison after admitting to possessing extreme pornographic images, six counts of making indecent images of a child, and breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO). These offences were committed on two separate occasions, with the second set of offences being committed while Manley was already under investigation for the first set.
