Scholar Green Man Admits Possession of Indecent Images

Christopher Shaw (28) of Drenfell Road, Scholar Green, appeared before Cheshire Magistrates Court in Crewe on July 7th and pleaded guilty to charges related to indecent images of children.

Between September 11th, 2015, and June 19th, 2021, Shaw admitted to making 69 category C indecent photographs of children and possessing 83 indecent images of children in Scholar Green.

He also admitted to making 10 category A indecent photographs of children and four category B indecent photographs.

Shaw was required to register with the police until the case is dealt with, reporting to Crewe police station. He was remanded on conditional bail until his next hearing on August 8th at Chester Magistrates Court for sentencing, expected to last approximately 30 minutes.

The court ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared. Shaw is prohibited from using any device capable of accessing the internet unless it has the capacity to retain and display the history of internet use. This capacity must be enabled at all times, and he must make the device available for inspection by a police officer upon request. He is also prohibited from deleting his internet history.
