Colin Gregory, also known as Anthony Luckwill, a notorious paedophile from Nottingham, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for his sickening crimes.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Nottinghamshire Police enlisted the help of the FBI to investigate the "manipulative and deceitful" actions of Luckwill, who had previously served time in Wales, Ireland, and Scotland. Gregory was living under a new identity in Sherwood at the time of his arrest.

Examination of Gregory's electronic devices uncovered disturbing abuse videos, some of which he shared with other like-minded individuals. One particularly horrifying video, titled "14-year-old and 12-year-old by the pool," was found on his devices.

Judge Michael Auty KC sentenced Gregory to 10 years in custody followed by an eight-year extended license. He emphasized the severity of Gregory's crimes, stating that he posed a "high risk" to teenage boys and would likely continue to offend. The judge described Gregory as "a manipulative and deceitful individual" who presented a "serious ongoing danger" to potential victims.

Gregory had previously been convicted of 60 offenses related to sexual abuse, including prison sentences and suspended sentences dating back to 2004 in various locations. He pleaded guilty to charges including possession of indecent images of children, breaching a sexual harm prevention order, conspiracy to produce indecent images, and inciting a child to engage in sexual communication.

During the sentencing hearing, Gregory's defense attorney, Kevin Waddingham, argued for leniency, stating that his client had led an "isolated life" with limited family support. However, Judge Auty KC emphasized that Gregory's crimes were too serious to warrant leniency.

Gregory will remain on the sex offender register for life and is subject to a lifetime sexual harm prevention order.
