Man Convicted of Sexual Offenses Against Teenage Girl

Colin Moore, 57, of Grove Lane, Southwark, has been found guilty of four counts of rape and five counts of indecent assault. The conviction follows a trial at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday, 24 May.

Moore was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at the same venue on 9 September 2024.

The court heard how Moore abused a girl who was under the age of 16 when the offenses began in 1995. The abuse continued for four years at various locations in west and central London.

The victim, now an adult, bravely came forward and reported the abuse to police in 2020. Moore was subsequently arrested and charged.

This conviction is a testament to the bravery of the victim in coming forward and speaking out against her abuser.
