Man Jailed for 10 Years for Sexual Offenses at Burton-on-Trent Nursery

Craig Ordish, 39, of Burton-on-Trent, who worked at the Co-operative Childcare Burton nursery, was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment at Stafford Crown Court on Friday, April 19th. He was also given an extended license period of three years.

Ordish previously pleaded guilty to two counts of assault on a girl under 13 by touching at a hearing on November 19, 2023. He subsequently pleaded guilty to causing/inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, five counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of a child, and possession of extreme pornographic images on January 19, 2024.

In addition to the prison sentence, Ordish was given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

Ordish was arrested in October 2023 after being reported to authorities. He was subsequently charged with the offenses and remanded.
