Sex offender who committed offences in Chesterfield jailed after trip to Skegness leisure park.
Craig Gary Woolley, 40, of Bede Crescent in Boston, was sentenced to 28 months in jail at Derby Crown Court on Friday, September 1.
The offenses took place at various locations, including Chesterfield, between February 2020 and May 2021.
Woolley was convicted of four offenses:
- Breach of a sexual harm prevention order
- Failure to comply with the sex offenders register's notification requirements
On October 19, 2020, Woolley had unsupervised contact with young girls in violation of a sexual harm prevention order imposed in 2014.
He breached the order again on April 25, 2021, by having unsupervised contact with a girl under 18 at Crystal Peaks retail park in Sheffield.
Woolley further breached his notification requirements on May 2, 2021, when he resided with a child at Waterside Leisure Park in Skegness without notifying the police within three days.
The fourth charge stemmed from an incident on February 17, 2020, where he stayed for over 12 hours at an address in Chesterfield where children were present, without notifying the police.
Woolley received a total sentence of five years and eight months for the four offenses, but as the sentences are to be served concurrently, the actual imprisonment period is two years and two months.
