Taxi Driver Daniel Albertina Jailed for Filming Teenager in Cinema Toilets

A taxi driver from Liverpool, Daniel Albertina, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for a series of voyeuristic offenses and possession of indecent images of children.

Albertina was caught filming a 16-year-old boy in the toilets at an Odeon cinema in Aintree. The teenager confronted Albertina, alerted staff, and police were able to identify him through his taxi firm. A subsequent search of Albertina's devices revealed 165 indecent images of children, some of which he had filmed himself, including footage of a teenage girl showering.

The court heard that Albertina admitted to committing voyeurism on six occasions over a period of six weeks at the same cinema. He also confessed to having an attraction to both young males and females. In his victim impact statement, the teenager said he felt "sickened" by the experience and no longer feels safe using public toilets.

Judge Andrew Menary KC condemned Albertina's actions as "outrageous conduct" and described the images found on his devices as "really bad." Alongside his prison sentence, Albertina received a five-year restraining order, a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, and must sign the sex offenders' register for a decade.
