Port Glasgow Man Faces Charges of Child Pornography and Drug Supply

A 24-year-old Port Glasgow man, Daniel McLaughlin, is facing multiple charges, including possession of indecent images of children, supplying class A drugs, and possession of bestiality pornography.

According to prosecutors, McLaughlin, who now resides at a different address in Port Glasgow, was involved in the supply of MDMA (ecstasy). He is also accused of possessing cocaine, cannabis, and the street valium drug etizolam.

The indictment alleges that McLaughlin took, permitted to be taken, or made indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children on various occasions between January and June of last year. He is also accused of possessing extreme pornographic images depicting bestiality.

McLaughlin, represented by lawyer Aidan Gallagher, has pleaded not guilty to all charges at a preliminary hearing at Greenock Sheriff Court. The case is scheduled for a further hearing in November.
