Lonely Motorcycle Instructor Jailed for Child Pornography

A socially isolated motorcycle instructor, Daniel White, 23, was sentenced to two years in prison after being found with over 3,370 images and videos of child pornography and 280 of bestiality.

Hull Crown Court heard that White, of Orchard Park estate, Hull, had been using a Twitter account to upload images of children to the internet. He had 1,314 images of children in the most serious Category A, including 629 videos, along with 1,021 Category B images and 1,036 Category C images. The images depicted "extremely young girls" aged between six and 14.

White also had 280 images of extreme pornography showing bestiality. He had been involved in online sexual conversations, including one with a woman who had sent him a picture of her daughter. He asked her if she had done anything sexual with her daughter.

White claimed to the police that he became aware of the images by accident, but he did not report them. He denied any sexual attraction to children.

The court heard that White was originally drawn to social media sites because he was socially isolated and wanted to make friends. He had never had an intimate relationship and was "an emotionally lonely man."

Judge Peter Kelson QC stated that White's crime was not victimless. He emphasized that the images White possessed represented real victims who had suffered abuse. Kelson stated that White had "furthered this disgusting trade by sharing these videos."

White was given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and his mobile phone, laptop, and tablet computer were forfeited.
