Swindon Man Sentenced for Child Sex Offenses

Danny Gould, 27, of Whitehead Street, Swindon, was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Swindon Crown Court on Friday for attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child and attempting to cause a child to engage in sexual activity.

The charges stem from social media conversations that occurred between April 2 and May 9, 2024. During this period, Gould engaged in sexually explicit conversations with an individual he believed to be 14 years old.

Gould, who was already on the Sex Offender's register, was also found guilty of failing to comply with the registration requirements.

In addition to the prison sentence, Gould was made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
