Angus Chip Shop Boss Placed on Sex Offenders Register for Demanding Sex Act from Schoolboy
David Crabb, owner of Trinity Fish Bar and Restaurant in Brechin, has been placed on the sex offenders register after pleading guilty to demanding a schoolboy perform a sex act on him.
The 64-year-old admitted to telling the teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to get on his knees and perform the sex act on August 2, 2020. The incident followed a fortnight of homophobic comments directed at the boy by Crabb.
"He would make comments," said the teenager, who also reported Crabb using offensive language towards him. "He's been placed on the sex offenders register for six months and I'm happy with that."
Crabb, the business director and catering manager, was sentenced at Forfar Sheriff Court last week after pleading guilty to two charges against the schoolboy. He admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by repeatedly making homophobic remarks towards the boy between July 15 and July 31, 2020.
In addition to being placed on the sex offenders register for six months, Crabb, who lives near his business on Trinity Road, was ordered to carry out unpaid work as part of a community payback order.
