Staffordshire Dad Jailed for Filming Himself Having Sex with Pet Dog

A 56-year-old Staffordshire man, Dean Beer, has been sentenced to nine months in prison after being found guilty of filming himself engaging in sexual activity with his pet dog.

The court heard that Beer had initiated a disturbing conversation about bestiality on Facebook Messenger, during which he was encouraged to record the act and send it to the other person.

Police discovered the disturbing footage after receiving information from the National Crime Agency regarding the uploading of an indecent image.

Further investigation revealed that Beer had searched for "dog porn" multiple times and his phone contained indecent images of children, extreme pornographic images of women having sexual activity with animals, and other illicit content.

Prosecutor Maria Brannan stated that Beer's actions were "shocking" and "depraved," highlighting the disturbing nature of the Facebook messages and the recorded sexual abuse of his own dog.

Despite the defendant's remorse and attempts to seek mental health support, Judge David Fletcher emphasized the severity of the offense, deeming an immediate prison sentence necessary.

Beer was also subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and placed on the sex offenders' register for a specified period.
