Man Jailed for Four Years for Child Abuse

Dean Tarrant, 47, has been sentenced to four years in prison for the abuse of a young girl that spanned over a decade.

The court heard that the offences began when Tarrant was a child himself, but continued throughout the 1980s.

The abuse occurred while Tarrant resided in Northview Road, Swanley, and later in Hawley Road, Dartford, between 1980 and 1989.

Tarrant, currently living in Brentwood, Essex, was found guilty of two counts of gross indecency at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday.
