Sexually abused and shared indecent images of children.
Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Child Sexual Abuse and Distribution of Indecent Images
Duncan Hogben, 43, of Cranfield, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for 11 counts related to the sexual abuse of children and charges associated with taking, distributing, and making indecent photographs of children.
Hogben was convicted on June 29th and sentenced at Luton Crown Court. His crimes extended beyond the online world, involving the direct abuse of children. His online activities contributed to the global cycle of child abuse, a scourge on society.
"I would like to pay tribute to the brave testimony of the victims and witnesses in this case," said Detective Constable Paul Fitzharris from the Cyber Hubs Internet Child Abuse Investigation Team (ICAIT). "Without their support, we would not have achieved the result we have today."
Fitzharris continued, "While the courts recognized the severity of Hogben's sickening activities and passed a long sentence, in my eyes, no jail term will be long enough for him to truly accept what he has done and pay for the lives he has ruined."
