Forest Gate Paedophile Convicted of Sexually Assaulting Young Girls at Swimming Pool

Emmanuel Brown, 60, has been found guilty of three counts of sexual assault by touching after a trial at Wood Green Crown Court. He was convicted on December 5, 2023.

The court heard that Brown had been running swimming lessons at a pool in Northumberland Park since 1995. Three girls, all under the age of 13 at the time of the assaults, reported the abuse to police in June and July 2020.

The abuse took place between 2010 and 2019 during Brown's swimming lessons. Brown used his position of trust as an instructor to carry out sustained sexual assaults on the girls.

Det Con Andri Andreou of the North Area Command Unit described Brown as "a dangerous sexual predator" who "poses a significant risk to young children." He condemned Brown's behavior as "utterly deplorable."

Brown will be sentenced in February. The police are urging anyone else who may have been abused by Brown to come forward.
