Former Flintshire Pub Landlord Jailed for Rape and Sexual Assault

Gareth Lambert, 31, of Moore Lane, Frodsham, has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault at Caernarfon Crown Court.

Lambert will serve an 18-year custodial term, followed by an additional six years on extended supervision.

The offenses took place in January and February 2022 while Lambert was the landlord of the Crown and Liver public house in Ewloe.

Two female victims, aged 25 and 38 at the time of the incidents, reported to authorities that Lambert had committed sexual offenses against them in a flat above the pub.

Following the reports, Lambert was arrested and subsequently found guilty of the charges.
