Child Rapist on the Run Found Living in Liverpool and Faces Extradition

George Constantin, a convicted child rapist, was found living in Liverpool and has been arrested. He is now facing extradition to Romania to serve an outstanding sentence for rape and robbery.

Police discovered Constantin at an address on Altcar Avenue in Toxteth last week. He was subsequently arrested and appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday, November 5.

The court heard that the 29-year-old was wanted on a European Arrest Warrant from Romania. He was sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison in 2014 for sexual offenses against a 14-year-old child.

According to a wanted listing on the Romanian police website, Constantin did not oppose extradition and was remanded into custody.
